Our Story
Every Story has a Name Behind it.
I, Sienna Ilitch, an incoming freshman at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, created the name REAILITE. I am eighteen years old and am passionately driven by the wonders of the world. I am fascinated by everything that comes my way and constantly ask questions. My curiosity for the world propelled me to create REAILITE.
The beginning of the foreign word, REA, comes from the word Real. I am a very real person and am always trying to discover new things around me.
The middle of the word, ILI, is the first three letters of my last name. My history is a crucial contributor to the way I think and the actions I take to contribute to my community. My parents and grandparents are and have been an inspiration to me. I wanted to include these three letters as a constant reminder that you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it.
The ending of the word, LITE, stands for all the values I associate REAILITE with. LEARN. INNOVATE. TEACH. EMPOWER. Four core values in which have influenced me and made me become who I am today. I am always trying to learn new things, whether it’s learning how to measure a piece of wood or learning a new computer science language. I love it all.
